1 In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! In you, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
2 In Your justice, rescue and deliver me; incline Your ear and save me. In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me! In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me.
3 Be my rock of refuge, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and ruthless. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.
5 For You are my hope, O Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth. For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth. For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.
6 I have leaned on You since birth; You pulled me from my mother’s womb. My praise is always for You. Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.
7 I have become a portent to many, but You are my strong refuge. I have been as a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge. I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge.
8 My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your splendor all day long. My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day. My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.
9 Do not discard me in my old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.
10 For my enemies speak against me, and those who lie in wait for my life conspire, For my enemies speak concerning me; those who watch for my life consult together For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.
11 saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for there is no one to rescue him.” and say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him.” They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”
12 Be not far from me, O God. Hurry, O my God, to help me. O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me.
13 May the accusers of my soul be ashamed and consumed; may those who seek my harm be covered with scorn and disgrace. May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.
14 But I will always hope and will praise You more and more. But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.
15 My mouth will declare Your righteousness and Your salvation all day long, though I cannot know their full measure. My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will come in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim Your righteousness—Yours alone. With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
17 O God, You have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim Your marvelous deeds. O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I proclaim Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.
19 Your righteousness reaches to the heavens, O God, You who have done great things. Who, O God, is like You? Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God?
20 Though You have shown me many troubles and misfortunes, You will revive me once again. Even from the depths of the earth You will bring me back up. You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
21 You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.
22 So I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to You with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.
23 When I sing praise to You my lips will shout for joy, along with my soul, which You have redeemed. My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered.
24 My tongue will indeed proclaim Your righteousness all day long, for those who seek my harm are disgraced and confounded. And my tongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disappointed who sought to do me hurt. My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.
