מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד בְּ֝בָרְח֗וֹ מִפְּנֵ֤י ׀ אַבְשָׁל֬וֹם בְּנֽוֹ׃ יְ֭הוָה מָֽה־ רַבּ֣וּ צָרָ֑י רַ֝בִּ֗ים קָמִ֥ים עָלָֽי׃ | O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; | A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom. LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! |
רַבִּים֮ אֹמְרִ֪ים לְנַ֫פְשִׁ֥י אֵ֤ין יְֽשׁוּעָ֓תָה לּ֬וֹ בֵֽאלֹהִ֬ים סֶֽלָה׃ | many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah | Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” |
וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה מָגֵ֣ן בַּעֲדִ֑י כְּ֝בוֹדִ֗י וּמֵרִ֥ים רֹאשִֽׁי׃ | But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. | But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. |
ק֭וֹלִי אֶל־ יְהוָ֣ה אֶקְרָ֑א וַיַּֽעֲנֵ֨נִי מֵהַ֖ר קָדְשׁ֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃ | I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah | I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. |
אֲנִ֥י שָׁכַ֗בְתִּי וָֽאִ֫ישָׁ֥נָה הֱקִיצ֑וֹתִי כִּ֖י יְהוָ֣ה יִסְמְכֵֽנִי׃ | I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. | I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. |
לֹֽא־ אִ֭ירָא מֵרִבְב֥וֹת עָ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סָ֝בִ֗יב שָׁ֣תוּ עָלָֽי׃ | I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. | I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. |
Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. | Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. |
לַיהוָ֥ה הַיְשׁוּעָ֑ה עַֽל־ עַמְּךָ֖ בִרְכָתֶ֣ךָ סֶּֽלָה׃ | Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah | From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. |
