1 A PRAISE [SONG] OF DAVID. [ALEPH-BET] I exalt You, my God, O king, || And bless Your Name for all time and forever. I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. A psalm of praise. Of David. I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I bless You, || And praise Your Name for all time and forever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3 YHWH [is] great, and greatly praised, || And there is no searching of His greatness. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 Generation to generation praises Your works, || And they declare Your mighty acts. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.
5 The majesty, the glory of Your splendor, || And the matters of Your wonders, I declare. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 And they tell of the strength of Your fearful acts, || And I recount Your greatness. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 They send forth the memorial of the abundance of Your goodness. And they sing of Your righteousness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8 YHWH [is] gracious and merciful, || Slow to anger, and great in kindness. The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 YHWH [is] good to all, || And His mercies [are] over all His works. The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 O YHWH, all Your works confess You, || And Your saints bless You. All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you! All your works praise you, LORD; your faithful people extol you.
11 They tell of the glory of Your kingdom, || And they speak of Your might, They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 To make His mighty acts known to sons of men, || The glory of the majesty of His kingdom. to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom [is] a kingdom of all ages, || And Your dominion [is] in all generations. [[YHWH [is] faithful in all His words, || And kind in all His works.]] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
14 YHWH is supporting all who are falling, || And raising up all who are bowed down. The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to You, || And You are giving their food to them in its season, The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 Opening Your hand, and satisfying || The desire of every living thing. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 YHWH [is] righteous in all His ways, || And kind in all His works. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
18 YHWH [is] near to all those calling Him, || To all who call Him in truth. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 He does the desire of those fearing Him, || And He hears their cry, and saves them. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20 YHWH preserves all those loving Him, || And He destroys all the wicked. The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth speaks the praise of YHWH, || And all flesh blesses His Holy Name, || For all time and forever! My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever. My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
