2 and Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding as well. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
3 When the wine ran out, Jesus’s mother told him, “They don’t have any wine.” When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”
4 “What has this concern of yours to do with me, woman? ” Jesus asked. “My hour has not yet come.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”
5 “Do whatever he tells you,” his mother told the servants. His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
6 Now six stone water jars had been set there for Jewish purification. Each contained twenty or thirty gallons. Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
7 “Fill the jars with water,” Jesus told them. So they filled them to the brim. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water|; so they filled them to the brim.
8 Then he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the headwaiter.” And they did. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,
9 When the headwaiter tasted the water (after it had become wine), he did not know where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew. 10 and told him, “Everyone sets out the fine wine first, then, after people are drunk, the inferior. But you have kept the fine wine until now.” and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
11 Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him. This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him. What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
12 After this, he went down to Capernaum, together with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they stayed there only a few days. 14 In the temple he found people selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and he also found the money changers sitting there. In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.
15 After making a whip out of cords, he drove everyone out of the temple with their sheep and oxen. He also poured out the money changers’ coins and overturned the tables. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
16 He told those who were selling doves, “Get these things out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace! ” And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”
17 And his disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for your house will consume me. His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
18 So the Jews replied to him, “What sign will you show us for doing these things? ” So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
19 Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
20 Therefore the Jews said, “This temple took forty-six years to build, and will you raise it up in three days? ” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”
21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body. But he was speaking about the temple of his body. But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
22 So when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the statement Jesus had made. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken. 23 While he was in Jerusalem during the Passover Festival, many believed in his name when they saw the signs he was doing. 25 and because he did not need anyone to testify about man; for he himself knew what was in man. and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man. He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.
