Elihu Rebukes Job's Three Friends

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
So these three men stopped answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1Then these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1So these three men quit answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
But Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became very angry with Job for justifying himself rather than God.2Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned with anger. He burned with anger at Job because he justified himself rather than God.2But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram burned; against Job his anger burned because he justified himself before God.2Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.2Then Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite from the family of Ram became angry. He was angry at Job because he had justified himself rather than God.
He was also angry with the three friends, because they had found no way to refute Job, and yet had condemned him.3He burned with anger also at Job’s three friends because they had found no answer, although they had declared Job to be in the wrong.3And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.3Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.3He was also angry at Job's three friends because they had failed to refute him and yet had condemned him.
Now Elihu had waited before speaking to Job because they were older than he.4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were older than he.4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he.4Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were all older than he.

But when he saw that the three men had nothing more to say, his anger was aroused.5And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, he burned with anger.5And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men his anger burned.5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.5But when he saw that the three men could not answer Job, he became angry.
So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said: "I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to tell you what I know.6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said: “I am young in years, and you are aged; therefore I was timid and afraid to declare my opinion to you.6So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said, "I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.6So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite replied: I am young in years, while you are old; therefore I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.
I thought, 'Age should speak; advanced years should teach wisdom.'7I said, ‘Let days speak, and many years teach wisdom.’7"I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom.7I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.7I thought that age should speak and maturity should teach wisdom.
But it is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.8But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.8"But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.8But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.8But it is a spirit in man and the breath of the Almighty that give him understanding.
It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right.9It is not the old who are wise, nor the aged who understand what is right.9"The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.9Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.9It is not only the old who are wise or the elderly who understand how to judge.

"Therefore I say: Listen to me; I too will tell you what I know.10Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me; let me also declare my opinion.’10"So I say, 'Listen to me, I too will tell what I think.'10Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.10Therefore I say, "Listen to me. I too will declare what I know."
I waited while you spoke, I listened to your reasoning; while you were searching for words,11“Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your wise sayings, while you searched out what to say.11"Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, While you pondered what to say.11Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.11Look, I waited for your conclusions; I listened to your insights as you sought for words.
I gave you my full attention. But not one of you has proved Job wrong; none of you has answered his arguments.12I gave you my attention, and, behold, there was none among you who refuted Job or who answered his words.12"I even paid close attention to you; Indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.12Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:12I paid close attention to you. Yet no one proved Job wrong; not one of you refuted his arguments.
Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; let God, not a man, refute him.'13Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom; God may vanquish him, not a man.’13"Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; God will rout him, not man.'13Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.13So do not claim, "We have found wisdom; let God deal with him, not man."
But Job has not marshaled his words against me, and I will not answer him with your arguments.14He has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your speeches.14"For he has not arranged his words against me, Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.14Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.14But Job has not directed his argument to me, and I will not respond to him with your arguments.

"They are dismayed and have no more to say; words have failed them.15“They are dismayed; they answer no more; they have not a word to say.15"They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.15They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.15Job's friends are dismayed and can no longer answer; words have left them.
Must I wait, now that they are silent, now that they stand there with no reply?16And shall I wait, because they do not speak, because they stand there, and answer no more?16"Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer?16When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)16Should I continue to wait now that they are silent, now that they stand there and no longer answer?
I too will have my say; I too will tell what I know.17I also will answer with my share; I also will declare my opinion.17"I too will answer my share, I also will tell my opinion.17I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.17I too will answer; yes, I will tell what I know.
For I am full of words, and the spirit within me compels me;18For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.18"For I am full of words; The spirit within me constrains me.18For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.18For I am full of words, and my spirit compels me to speak.
inside I am like bottled-up wine, like new wineskins ready to burst.19Behold, my belly is like wine that has no vent; like new wineskins ready to burst.19"Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, Like new wineskins it is about to burst.19Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.19My heart is like unvented wine; it is about to burst like new wineskins.

I must speak and find relief; I must open my lips and reply.20I must speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.20"Let me speak that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.20I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.20I must speak so that I can find relief; I must open my lips and respond.
I will show no partiality, nor will I flatter anyone;21I will not show partiality to any man or use flattery toward any person.21"Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man.21Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.21I will be partial to no one, and I will not give anyone an undeserved title.
for if I were skilled in flattery, my Maker would soon take me away.22For I do not know how to flatter, else my Maker would soon take me away.22"For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.22For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.22For I do not know how to give such titles; otherwise, my Maker would remove me in an instant.
