1 Now Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. Abraham had taken another wife, whose name was Keturah.

24 And her days to give birth were fulfilled, and behold, there were twins in her womb. When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb. When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb.

26 Afterward his brother came forth with his hand holding on to Esau’s heel, so his name was called Jacob; and Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them. After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.
27 And the boys grew up; Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the field, but Jacob was a peaceful man, living in tents. 30 Then Esau said to Jacob, “Please give me a swallow from the red stuff—this red stuff, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.) He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.)
31 But Jacob said, “First sell me your birthright.” Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.”
32 And Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die; so of what use then is the birthright to me?” Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”
33 And Jacob said, “First swear to me”; so he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.
34 So Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew; and he ate and drank and rose and went away. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.
