1 And Abraham married another wife, named Cetura: Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah. Abraham had taken another wife, whose name was Keturah.
2 Who bore to him Zamran, and Jecsan, and Madan, and Madian, and Jesboc, and Sue. She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah.
3 Jecsan also begot Saba and Dadan. The children of Dadan were Assurim, and Latusim, and Loomin. Jokshan fathered Sheba and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim. Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan; the descendants of Dedan were the Ashurites, the Letushites and the Leummites.
4 But of Madian was born Epha, and Opher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaa: all these were the children of Cetura. The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah. The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah.
5 And Abraham gave all his possessions to Isaac. Abraham gave all he had to Isaac. Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.
6 And to the children of the concubines he gave gifts, and separated them from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, to the east country. But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward to the east country. But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.
7 And the days of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five years. These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life, 175 years. Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years.
8 And decaying he died in a good old age, and having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people. Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. 10 Which he had bought of the children of Heth: there was he buried, and Sara his wife. the field that Abraham purchased from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried, with Sarah his wife. the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.
11 And after his death, God blessed Isaac his son, who dwelt by the well named Of the living and seeing. After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi. After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
12 These are the generations of Ismael the son of Abraham, whom Agar the Egyptian, Sara's servant, bore unto him: These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham. This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Ishmael, whom Sarah’s slave, Hagar the Egyptian, bore to Abraham.
13 And these are the names of his children according to their calling and generations. The firstborn of Ismael was Nabajoth, then Cedar, and Adbeel, and Mabsam. These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
14 And Masma, and Duma, and Massa, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Mishma, Dumah, Massa,

18 And he dwelt from Hevila as far as Sur, which looketh towards Egypt, to them that go towards the Assyrians. He died in the presence of all his brethren. 19 These also are the generations of Isaac the son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac: These are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham fathered Isaac, This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac,
20 Who when he was forty years old, took to wife Rebecca the daughter of Bathuel the Syrian of Mesopotamia, sister to Laban. and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife. and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean.
21 And Isaac besought the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and he heard him, and made Rebecca to conceive. And Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, because she was barren. And the LORD granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.
22 But the children struggled in her womb: and she said: If it were to be so with me, what need was there to conceive? And she went to consult the Lord. The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD. The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.
23 And he answering said: Two nations are in thy womb, and two peoples shall be divided out of thy womb, and one people shall overcome the other, and the elder shall serve the younger. And the LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.” The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.”
24 And when her time was come to be delivered, behold twins were found in her womb. When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb. When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb.
25 He that came forth first was red, and hairy like a skin: and his name was called Esau. Immediately the other coming forth, held his brother's foot in his hand, and therefore he was called Jacob. The first came out red, all his body like a hairy cloak, so they called his name Esau. The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau.
26 Isaac was threescore years old when the children were born unto him. Afterward his brother came out with his hand holding Esau’s heel, so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them. After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.
27 And when they were grown up, Esau became a skillful hunter, and a husbandman, but Jacob a plain man dwelt in tents. When the boys grew up, Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field, while Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents. The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents.
28 Isaac loved Esau, because he ate of his hunting: and Rebecca loved Jacob. Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob. Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 And Jacob boiled Pottage: to whom Esau, coming faint out of the field, Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished.
30 Said: Give me of this red pottage, for I am exceeding faint. For which reason his name was called Edom. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.) He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.)
31 And Jacob said to him: Sell me thy first birthright. Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.”
32 He answered: Lo I die, what will the first birthright avail me. Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”
33 Jacob said: Swear therefore to me. Esau swore to him, and sold his first birthright. Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.
34 And so taking bread and the pottage of lentils, he ate, and drank, and went his way; making little account of having sold his first birthright. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.
