1 These the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons shall be born to them after the flood. These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood. This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah’s sons, who themselves had sons after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah.

5 By these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands; a man according to his tongue, according to their tribe, in their nations. From these the coastland peoples spread in their lands, each with his own language, by their clans, in their nations. (From these the maritime peoples spread out into their territories by their clans within their nations, each with its own language.)
6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha; and the sons of Raamah; Sheba and Dedan. The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. 8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be strong in the earth. Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on the earth.
9 He was a strong taker of prey before the face of Jehovah; for this he will say, As Nimrod the strong hunter before the face of Jehovah. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.” He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.”
10 And the beginning of his kingdom shall be Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in Shinar.
11 From that land shall come forth Asshur, and shall build Nineveh, and the city Reheboth, and Calah, From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah

16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed. the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans scattered
19 And the bound of the Canaanite shall be from Sidon in thy coming to Gerar, to Azzah; in thy coming to Sodom and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even to Lasha. And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.
20 These the sons of Hain according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, in their nations. These are the sons of Ham, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. These are the sons of Ham by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.
21 And to Shem shall be born, even to him the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the great. To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born. Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaeshad, and Lud, and Aram. The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Shem: Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.
24 And Arphaeshad shall beget Shelah, and Shelah shall beget Eber. Arpachshad fathered Shelah; and Shelah fathered Eber. Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah the father of Eber.
25 And to Eber shall be born two sons: the name of the latter, Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother, Joktan. To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan. Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
26 And Joktan will beget Ahnodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

31 These the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations. These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.
32 These the families of Noah after their generations, in their nations and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.
