1 And Jehovah will say to Moses, Now thou shalt see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand will he send them forth, and with a strong hand will he drive them out of his land. But the LORD said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”
2 And God will speak to Moses, and will say to him, I am Jehovah. God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the LORD. God also said to Moses, “I am the LORD.
3 And I shall be seen to Abraham, to Isaak, and to Jacob, by God Almighty; and my name Jehovah I was not known to them. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself fully known to them.
4 And also have I set my covenant with them to give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, which they sojourned upon it. I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they lived as sojourners. I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners.
5 And also I heard the groaning of the sons of Israel whom the Egyptians have made to serve: and I will remember my covenant. 6 For this say thou to the sons of Israel, I am Jehovah, and I brought you forth from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I delivered you from their work, and I redeemed you with an arm stretched out and with great judgments. Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.
7 And I took you to me for a people, and I was to you for God: and ye knew that I was Jehovah your God, having brought you forth from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
8 And I brought you to a land which I lifted up my hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaak, and to Jacob, and I gave it to you a possession: I am Jehovah. I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.’” And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD.’”
9 And Moses spake thus to the sons of Israel: and they heard not to Moses for shortness of spirit, and from hard work. Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery. Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.
10 And Jehovah will speak to Moses, saying, So the LORD said to Moses, Then the LORD said to Moses,
11 Go, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he shall send forth the sons of Israel out of Egypt. “Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land.” “Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.”
12 And Moses will speak before Jehovah, saying, Behold, the sons of Israel heard not to me; and how shall Pharaoh hear me, and I of uncircumcised lips? But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?” But Moses said to the LORD, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?”
13 And Jehovah will speak to Moses and to Aaron and will command them to the sons of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt. But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge about the people of Israel and about Pharaoh king of Egypt: to bring the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt. Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron about the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he commanded them to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.
14 These the heads of the house of their father: the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi: these the tribes of Reuben. These are the heads of their fathers’ houses: the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the clans of Reuben. These were the heads of their families: The sons of Reuben the firstborn son of Israel were Hanok and Pallu, Hezron and Karmi. These were the clans of Reuben.
15 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Saul, the son of a Canaanitess; these the tribes of Simeon. The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the clans of Simeon. The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clans of Simeon.
16 And these the names of the sons of Levi, according to their generation; Gershon, and Kohath and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi, seven and thirty and a hundred years. These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, the years of the life of Levi being 137 years. These were the names of the sons of Levi according to their records: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levi lived 137 years.
17 And the sons of Gershon, Libni and Shimi, according to their tribes. The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, by their clans. The sons of Gershon, by clans, were Libni and Shimei.
18 And the sons of Kohath; Amram and Izhar and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath, three and thirty and a hundred years. The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, the years of the life of Kohath being 133 years. The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived 133 years.
19 And the sons of Merari: Mahali and Mushi: these the tribes of Levi according to their generations. The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their generations. The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of Levi according to their records.
20 And Amram will take Jochebed his father's sister, to him for a wife; and she will bare to him Aaron and Moses. And the years of the life of Amram, seven and thirty and a hundred years. Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father’s sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years. Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years.
21 And the sons of Izhar; Korah and Nepheg and Zithri. The sons of Izhar: Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri. The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg and Zikri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael and Elzaphan, Zithri. The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri. The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.
23 And Aaron will take Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to him for a wife; and she will bare to him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. Aaron took as his wife Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 And the sons of Korah; Asir and Elkanah and Abiasaph; these the tribes of Korhites. The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the clans of the Korahites. The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These were the Korahite clans.
25 And Eleazar the son of Aaron, took to him from the daughters of Putiel, for a wife; and she will bare to him Phinehas: these the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their tribes. Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took as his wife one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites by their clans. Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the Levite families, clan by clan.
26 This Aaron and Moses, whom Jehovah said to them, Bring forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt with their army. These are the Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said: “Bring out the people of Israel from the land of Egypt by their hosts.” It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.”
27 They having spoken to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring forth the sons of Israel out of Egypt; this Moses and Aaron. It was they who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from Egypt, this Moses and this Aaron. They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing the Israelites out of Egypt—this same Moses and Aaron.
28 And it will be in the day Jehovah spake to Moses in the land of Egypt. On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, Now when the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt,
29 And Jehovah will speak to Moses, saying, I am Jehovah; speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, all which I say to thee. the LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.” he said to him, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.”
30 And Moses will say before Jehovah, Behold, I of uncircumcised lips; and how shall Pharaoh hear to me? But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How will Pharaoh listen to me?” But Moses said to the LORD, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”
