NET BibleNew Living Translation
A psalm of praise, by David. I will extol you, my God, O king! I will praise your name continually! 1I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.
Every day I will praise you! I will praise your name continually! 2I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever.
The LORD is great and certainly worthy of praise! No one can fathom his greatness! 3Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.
One generation will praise your deeds to another, and tell about your mighty acts! 4Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.
I will focus on your honor and majestic splendor, and your amazing deeds! 5I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.
They will proclaim the power of your awesome acts! I will declare your great deeds! 6Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.
They will talk about the fame of your great kindness, and sing about your justice. 7Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.
The LORD is merciful and compassionate; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love. 8The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
The LORD is good to all, and has compassion on all he has made. 9The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
All he has made will give thanks to the LORD. Your loyal followers will praise you. 10All of your works will thank you, LORD, and your faithful followers will praise you.
They will proclaim the splendor of your kingdom; they will tell about your power, 11They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power.
so that mankind might acknowledge your mighty acts, and the majestic splendor of your kingdom. 12They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign.
Your kingdom is an eternal kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. 13For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The LORD always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.
The LORD supports all who fall, and lifts up all who are bent over. 14The LORD helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.
Everything looks to you in anticipation, and you provide them with food on a regular basis. 15The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.
You open your hand, and fill every living thing with the food they desire. 16When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.
The LORD is just in all his actions, and exhibits love in all he does. 17The LORD is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.
The LORD is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely. 18The LORD is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
He satisfies the desire of his loyal followers; he hears their cry for help and delivers them. 19He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them.
The LORD protects those who love him, but he destroys all the wicked. 20The LORD protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked.
My mouth will praise the LORD. Let all who live praise his holy name forever! 21I will praise the LORD, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever.
