By David. Praise the LORD, O my soul! With all that is within me, praise his holy name! 1Davidic. My soul, praise Yahweh, and all that is within me, praise His holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul! Do not forget all his kind deeds! 2My soul, praise the LORD, and do not forget all His benefits.
He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, 3He forgives all your sin; He heals all your diseases.
who delivers your life from the Pit, who crowns you with his loyal love and compassion, 4He redeems your life from the Pit; He crowns you with faithful love and compassion.
who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle's. 5He satisfies you with goodness; your youth is renewed like the eagle.
The LORD does what is fair, and executes justice for all the oppressed. 6The LORD executes acts of righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
The LORD revealed his faithful acts to Moses, his deeds to the Israelites. 7He revealed His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel.
The LORD is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love. 8The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and rich in faithful love.
He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry. 9He will not always accuse us or be angry forever.
He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve. 10He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve or repaid us according to our offenses.
For as the skies are high above the earth, so his loyal love towers over his faithful followers. 11For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him.
As far as the eastern horizon is from the west, so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions from us. 12As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on his faithful followers. 13As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay. 14For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.
A person's life is like grass. Like a flower in the field it flourishes, 15As for man, his days are like grass-- he blooms like a flower of the field;
but when the hot wind blows by, it disappears, and one can no longer even spot the place where it once grew. 16when the wind passes over it, it vanishes, and its place is no longer known.
But the LORD continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants, 17But from eternity to eternity the LORD's faithful love is toward those who fear Him, and His righteousness toward the grandchildren
to those who keep his covenant, who are careful to obey his commands. 18of those who keep His covenant, who remember to observe His precepts.
The LORD has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything. 19The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
Praise the LORD, you angels of his, you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders! 20Praise the LORD, all His angels of great strength, who do His word, obedient to His command.
Praise the LORD, all you warriors of his, you servants of his who carry out his desires! 21Praise the LORD, all His armies, His servants who do His will.
Praise the LORD, all that he has made, in all the regions of his kingdom! Praise the LORD, O my soul! 22Praise the LORD, all His works in all the places where He rules. My soul, praise Yahweh!
