NET Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleBerean Study Bible
When Israel left Egypt, when the family of Jacob left a foreign nation behind, 1When Israel departed from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,
Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his kingdom. 2Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.
The sea looked and fled; the Jordan River turned back. 3The sea observed and fled; the Jordan turned back;
The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. 4the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River? 5Why was it, O sea, that you fled, O Jordan, that you turned back,
Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills? 6O mountains, that you skipped like rams, O hills, like lambs?
Tremble, O earth, before the Lord--before the God of Jacob, 7Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
who turned a rock into a pool of water, a hard rock into springs of water! 8who turned the rock into a pool, the flint into a fountain of water!
