| 1A Song, a Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. | 1A song. A Davidic psalm. My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being. |
| 2Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! | 2Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. |
| 3I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. | 3I will praise You, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. |
| 4For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. | 4For Your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. |
| 5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth. | 5God, be exalted above the heavens, and let Your glory be over the whole earth. |

| 10Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? |
| 11Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God? | 11God, haven't You rejected us? God, You do not march out with our armies. |
| 12Oh give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain. | 12Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. |
| 13Through God we will do valiantly, And it is He who shall tread down our adversaries. | 13With God we will perform valiantly; He will trample our foes. |
