| 1David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. | 1I exalt you, my God the King, and bless your name forever and ever. |
| 2Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. | 2I will bless you every day; I will praise your name forever and ever. |
| 3Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. | 3The LORD is great and is highly praised; his greatness is unsearchable. |
| 4One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. | 4One generation will declare your works to the next and will proclaim your mighty acts. |
| 5I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. | 5I will speak of your splendor and glorious majesty and your wondrous works. |
| 6And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. | 6They will proclaim the power of your awe-inspiring acts, and I will declare your greatness. |
| 7They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. | 7They will give a testimony of your great goodness and will joyfully sing of your righteousness. |
| 8The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. | 8The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love. |
| 9The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. | 9The LORD is good to everyone; his compassion rests on all he has made. |
| 10All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. | 10All you have made will thank you, LORD; the faithful will bless you. |
| 11They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; | 11They will speak of the glory of your kingdom and will declare your might, |
| 12To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. | 12informing all people of your mighty acts and of the glorious splendor of your kingdom. |
| 13Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. | 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; your rule is for all generations. The LORD is faithful in all his words and gracious in all his actions. |
| 14The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. | 14The LORD helps all who fall; he raises up all who are oppressed. |
| 15The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. | 15All eyes look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. |
| 16Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. | 16You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. |
| 17The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. | 17The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all his acts. |
| 18The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. | 18The LORD is near all who call out to him, all who call out to him with integrity. |
| 19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. | 19He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry for help and saves them. |
| 20The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. | 20The LORD guards all those who love him, but he destroys all the wicked. |
| 21My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. | 21My mouth will declare the LORD's praise; let every living thing bless his holy name forever and ever. |
