| 1Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. This is what happened: | 1After this, Jesus revealed Himself again to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed Himself in this way: |

| 3Simon Peter told them, "I'm going fishing." They all told him, "We'll go with you, too." | 7That disciple whom Jesus kept loving told Peter, "It's the Lord!" | 20Peter turned around and noticed the disciple whom Jesus kept loving following them. | 22Jesus told him, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you? You must keep following me!" | 22"If I want him to remain until I come," Jesus answered, "what is that to you? As for you, follow Me." |
| 23So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?" | 23So this report spread to the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?" |
| 24This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true. | 24This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true. |
