Good News Translation
And the commander of the LORD's army told him, "Take your sandals off; you are standing on holy ground." And Joshua did as he was told.

The commander of the army of the LORD said to Joshua, “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

"Take off your sandals," the commander answered. "This is a holy place." So Joshua took off his sandals.
