Aramaic Bible in Plain English
1But you do not need to be written to about times and seasons, my brethren, 2For you truly know that the day of Our Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3When they shall say, "There is peace and quiet", then suddenly destruction shall arise upon them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they shall not escape. 4But you, my brethren, you are not in darkness that the day should overtake you as a thief. 5For you are all children of light and children of the day and you* are not children of the night, neither children of darkness. 6Let us not sleep therefore as the rest, but let us be watchful and sensible. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk are drunk at night. 8But we are the children of the day; let us be vigilant in our minds and put on the breastplate of faith and of love and let us take the helmet of the hope of Life, 9Because God has not appointed us to wrath, but to the possession of Life in Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah, 10He who died for our sake, that whether we are awake or asleep, we shall live together with him. 11Because of this, comfort one another and build one another up just as you have done.
12But we beg of you, my brethren, that you will recognize those who labor among you and have standing among you in Our Lord and teach you, 13That they should be esteemed by you in greater love, and be at peace with them because of their works. 14But we beg of you, my brethren, correct wrongdoers, encourage the feeble souls, bear the burdens of the weak and be patient with every person. 15Beware lest anyone of you reward evil for evil, but always run after the good with each and every person. 16Rejoice at all times. 17Pray without ceasing. 18Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Yeshua The Messiah among you. 19Do not quench the Spirit. 20Do not reject prophecy. 21Examine everything and hold what is excellent. 22Flee from every evil matter.
23But The God of peace shall make all of you perfectly holy and shall keep your whole spirit, soul and body without fault for the arrival of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah. 24Faithful is he who has called you; it is he who shall perform it.
25Pray for us, my brethren.
28The grace of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah be with you. Amen.
