1 In thee, Jehovah, do I trust: let me never be ashamed. In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! In you, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me; incline thine ear unto me, and save me. In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me! In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me.
3 Be to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
4 My God, rescue me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my confidence from my youth. For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth. For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.
6 On thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee. Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.
7 I have been as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge. I have been as a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge. I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge.
8 My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, with thy glory, all the day. My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day. My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.
9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.
10 For mine enemies speak against me, and they that watch for my soul consult together, For my enemies speak concerning me; those who watch for my life consult together For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.
11 Saying, God hath forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver. and say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him.” They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”
12 O God, be not far from me; my God, hasten to my help. O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me.
13 Let them be ashamed, let them be consumed, that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt. May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.
14 But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.
15 My mouth shall declare thy righteousness, [and] thy salvation all the day: for I know not the numbers [thereof]. My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will go in the might of the Lord Jehovah; I will recall thy righteousness, thine alone. With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I proclaimed thy marvellous works: O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Now also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto [this] generation, thy might to every one that is to come. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.
19 And thy righteousness, O God, reacheth on high, thou who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee? Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God?
20 Thou, who hast shewn us many and sore troubles, wilt revive us again, and wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth; You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
21 Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.
22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, my God; unto thee will I sing psalms with the harp, thou holy One of Israel. I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall exult when I sing psalms unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered.
24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day; for they shall be ashamed, for they shall be brought to confusion, that seek my hurt. And my tongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disappointed who sought to do me hurt. My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.
