1 Of David. Bless, O my soul, YHWH, and all within me—His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Of David. Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 O my soul, bless YHWH, and do not forget all His benefits— Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
3 the One forgiving all your iniquities, the One healing all your diseases, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 the One redeeming your life from destruction, the One crowning you with loving devotion and compassion, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 the One filling your beauty with the good; your youth is renewed like the eagle. who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 YHWH is doing righteousness and justice for all being oppressed. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the sons of Israel. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 Compassionate and gracious is YHWH, slow to anger and abounding in loving devotion. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not contend forever, and He will not keep it forever. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 He has not done to us according to our sins, and He has not dealt with us according to our iniquities. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so His loving devotion is mighty for those fearing Him. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so has He put our transgressions far from us. as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion for his children, so YHWH has compassion for those fearing Him. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 For He knows our form; He remembers that we are dust. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
15 A man—his days are like grass; like the flower of the field, so he blossoms; As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is no more; and its place does not recognize it anymore. for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
17 But the loving devotion of YHWH is from forever and even to forever upon those fearing Him, and His righteousness to the sons of the sons— But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 to those keeping His covenant, and to those remembering His precepts, to do them. to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
19 YHWH has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all. The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Bless YHWH, His angels, mighty of strength, doing His word, to listen to the voice of His word. Bless the LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word! Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
21 Bless YHWH, all His hosts, His ministering ones doing His pleasure. Bless the LORD, all his hosts, his ministers, who do his will! Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
22 Bless YHWH, all His works, in all places of His dominion. O my soul, bless YHWH! Bless the LORD, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.
