2	\|Tell the Israelites, 'When a person sins by straying unintentionally from any of the Lord's commandments which must not be violated, and violates any one of them--	“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If anyone sins unintentionally in any of the LORD’s commandments about things not to be done, and does any one of them,	“Say to the Israelites: ‘When anyone sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands—
3	\|'If the high priest sins so that the people are guilty, on account of the sin he has committed he must present a flawless young bull to the LORD for a sin offering.	if it is the anointed priest who sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed a bull from the herd without blemish to the LORD for a sin offering.	“’If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
4	He must bring the bull to the entrance of the Meeting Tent before the LORD, lay his hand on the head of the bull, and slaughter the bull before the LORD.	He shall bring the bull to the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD and lay his hand on the head of the bull and kill the bull before the LORD.	He is to present the bull at the entrance to the tent of meeting before the LORD. He is to lay his hand on its head and slaughter it there before the LORD.
5	Then that high priest must take some of the blood of the bull and bring it to the Meeting Tent.	And the anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull and bring it into the tent of meeting,	Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood and carry it into the tent of meeting.
6	The priest must dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD toward the front of the veil-canopy of the sanctuary.	and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle part of the blood seven times before the LORD in front of the veil of the sanctuary.	He is to dip his finger into the blood and sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD, in front of the curtain of the sanctuary.
7	The priest must put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the LORD in the Meeting Tent, and all the rest of the bull's blood he must pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.	And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the LORD that is in the tent of meeting, and all the rest of the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.	The priest shall then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the LORD in the tent of meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
8	\|'Then he must take up all the fat from the sin offering bull: the fat covering the entrails and all the fat surrounding the entrails,	And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he shall remove from it, the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails	He shall remove all the fat from the bull of the sin offering—all the fat that is connected to the internal organs,
9	the two kidneys with the fat on their sinews, and the protruding lobe on the liver (which he is to remove along with the kidneys)	and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys	both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which he will remove with the kidneys—
10	--just as it is taken from the ox of the peace offering sacrifice--and the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar of burnt offering.	(just as these are taken from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace offerings); and the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.	just as the fat is removed from the ox sacrificed as a fellowship offering. Then the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.
11	But the hide of the bull, all its flesh along with its head and its legs, its entrails, and its dung--	But the skin of the bull and all its flesh, with its head, its legs, its entrails, and its dung—	But the hide of the bull and all its flesh, as well as the head and legs, the internal organs and the intestines—
12	all the rest of the bull--he must bring outside the camp to a ceremonially clean place, to the fatty ash pile, and he must burn it on a wood fire; it must be burned on the fatty ash pile.	all the rest of the bull—he shall carry outside the camp to a clean place, to the ash heap, and shall burn it up on a fire of wood. On the ash heap it shall be burned up.	that is, all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a place ceremonially clean, where the ashes are thrown, and burn it there in a wood fire on the ash heap.
13	\|'If the whole congregation of Israel strays unintentionally and the matter is not noticed by the assembly, and they violate one of the Lord's commandments, which must not be violated, so they become guilty,	“If the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they do any one of the things that by the LORD’s commandments ought not to be done, and they realize their guilt,	“’If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, when they realize their guilt
14	the assembly must present a young bull for a sin offering when the sin they have committed becomes known. They must bring it before the Meeting Tent,	when the sin which they have committed becomes known, the assembly shall offer a bull from the herd for a sin offering and bring it in front of the tent of meeting.	and the sin they committed becomes known, the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the tent of meeting.
15	the elders of the congregation must lay their hands on the head of the bull before the LORD, and someone must slaughter the bull before the LORD.	And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of the bull before the LORD, and the bull shall be killed before the LORD.	The elders of the community are to lay their hands on the bull’s head before the LORD, and the bull shall be slaughtered before the LORD.
16	Then the high priest must bring some of the blood of the bull to the Meeting Tent,	Then the anointed priest shall bring some of the blood of the bull into the tent of meeting,	Then the anointed priest is to take some of the bull’s blood into the tent of meeting.

19	\|'Then the priest must take all its fat and offer the fat up in smoke on the altar.	And all its fat he shall take from it and burn on the altar.	He shall remove all the fat from it and burn it on the altar,
20	He must do with the rest of the bull just as he did with the bull of the sin offering; this is what he must do with it. So the priest will make atonement on their behalf and they will be forgiven.	Thus shall he do with the bull. As he did with the bull of the sin offering, so shall he do with this. And the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.	and do with this bull just as he did with the bull for the sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for the community, and they will be forgiven.
21	He must bring the rest of the bull outside the camp and burn it just as he burned the first bull--it is the sin offering of the assembly.	And he shall carry the bull outside the camp and burn it up as he burned the first bull; it is the sin offering for the assembly.	Then he shall take the bull outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bull. This is the sin offering for the community.
22	\|'Whenever a leader, by straying unintentionally, sins and violates one of the commandments of the LORD his God which must not be violated, and he pleads guilty,	“When a leader sins, doing unintentionally any one of all the things that by the commandments of the LORD his God ought not to be done, and realizes his guilt,	“’When a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the LORD his God, when he realizes his guilt
23	or his sin that he committed is made known to him, he must bring a flawless male goat as his offering.	or the sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without blemish,	and the sin he has committed becomes known, he must bring as his offering a male goat without defect.
24	He must lay his hand on the head of the male goat and slaughter it in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD--it is a sin offering.	and shall lay his hand on the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD; it is a sin offering.	He is to lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD. It is a sin offering.
25	Then the priest must take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and he must pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.	Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.	Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
26	Then the priest must offer all of its fat up in smoke on the altar like the fat of the peace offering sacrifice. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin and he will be forgiven.	And all its fat he shall burn on the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings. So the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin, and he shall be forgiven.	He shall burn all the fat on the altar as he burned the fat of the fellowship offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for the leader’s sin, and he will be forgiven.
27	\|'If an ordinary individual sins by straying unintentionally when he violates one of the Lord's commandments which must not be violated, and he pleads guilty	“If anyone of the common people sins unintentionally in doing any one of the things that by the LORD’s commandments ought not to be done, and realizes his guilt,	“’If any member of the community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD’s commands, when they realize their guilt
28	or his sin that he committed is made known to him, he must bring a flawless female goat as his offering for the sin that he committed.	or the sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring for his offering a goat, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has committed.	and the sin they have committed becomes known, they must bring as their offering for the sin they committed a female goat without defect.
29	He must lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter the sin offering in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.	And he shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and kill the sin offering in the place of burnt offering.	They are to lay their hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.
30	Then the priest must take some of its blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and he must pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.	And the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar. 31	Then he must remove all of its fat (just as fat was removed from the peace offering sacrifice) and the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar for a soothing aroma to the LORD. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf and he will be forgiven.	And all its fat he shall remove, as the fat is removed from the peace offerings, and the priest shall burn it on the altar for a pleasing aroma to the LORD. And the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.	They shall remove all the fat, just as the fat is removed from the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. In this way the priest will make atonement for them, and they will be forgiven.
32	\|'But if he brings a sheep as his offering, for a sin offering, he must bring a flawless female.	“If he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he shall bring a female without blemish	“’If someone brings a lamb as their sin offering, they are to bring a female without defect.
33	He must lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it for a sin offering in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.	and lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and kill it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.	They are to lay their hand on its head and slaughter it for a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
34	Then the priest must take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and he must pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.	Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out all the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.	Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
35	Then the one who brought the offering must remove all its fat (just as the fat of the sheep is removed from the peace offering sacrifice) and the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar on top of the other gifts of the LORD. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed and he will be forgiven.	And all its fat he shall remove as the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings, and the priest shall burn it on the altar, on top of the LORD’s food offerings. And the priest shall make atonement for him for the sin which he has committed, and he shall be forgiven.	They shall remove all the fat, just as the fat is removed from the lamb of the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar on top of the food offerings presented to the LORD. In this way the priest will make atonement for them for the sin they have committed, and they will be forgiven.
