1 And Moses gathered together all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and he said to them, “These are the words that YHWH has commanded—to do them: Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, “These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do. Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do:
2 Six days work shall be done, and the seventh day shall be for you⁺ holy, a Sabbath of complete rest to YHWH. Every doer of work on it shall be put to death. Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death.
3 You⁺ shall not kindle a fire in any of your⁺ dwellings on the Sabbath day.” You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.” Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
4 And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the word that YHWH has commanded, saying, Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the LORD has commanded. Moses said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the LORD has commanded:
5 take from among you⁺ a contribution to YHWH; everyone of a willing heart, he shall bring it as a contribution to YHWH: gold, and silver, and bronze, Take from among you a contribution to the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; From what you have, take an offering for the LORD. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the LORD an offering of gold, silver and bronze;
6 and blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn; and fine linen, and goats’ hair; blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats’ hair, blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;
7 and ram skins dyed red, and badger skins; and acacia wood; tanned rams’ skins, and goatskins; acacia wood, ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;
8 and oil for the light; and spices for the anointing oil and for the incense of spices; oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
9 and onyx stones, and stones as settings for the ephod and for the breastplate. and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
10 And all wise of heart among you⁺ shall come, and they shall make all that YHWH has commanded: “Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded: “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the LORD has commanded:
11 The tabernacle, its tent, and its covering, its clasps, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;
12 the ark and its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen; the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen; the ark with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain that shields it;
13 the table and its poles and all its vessels, and the Bread of the Presence; the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; the table with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence;
14 and the lampstand of the light, and its vessels, and its lamps, and the oil of the light; the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; the lampstand that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light;
15 and the altar of incense and its poles; and the anointing oil and the incense; of spices and the screen of the door for the entrance of the tabernacle; and the altar of incense, with its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense; the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle;
16 the altar of the burnt offering and the bronze grate that is for it, its poles and all its vessels; the basin and its stand; the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the bronze basin with its stand;
17 the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen of the gate of the court; the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;
18 the pegs of the tabernacle, and the pegs of the court, and their cords; the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords; the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes;
19 the woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to minister as priests.” the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.” the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary—both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.”
20 And all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from before the face of Moses. Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence,
21 And they came in—every man whom his heart lifted him and everyone whom his spirit impelled him—and they brought a contribution of YHWH for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the LORD’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.
22 And they came in, the men, man along with the women—everyone willing of heart—they brought hooks and earrings and rings and necklaces, every article of gold, and everyone who waved a wave offering of gold to YHWH. So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the LORD. All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.
23 And every man with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and rams skins dyed red, and badger skins, brought them in. And every one who possessed blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats’ hair or tanned rams’ skins or goatskins brought them. Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them.
24 Everyone lifting a contribution of silver and bronze brought in a contribution of YHWH. And everyone with whom was found acacia wood for every work of the service brought it. Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the LORD’s contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the LORD, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it.
25 And every woman wise of heart spun with her hands, and they brought in what she had spun of the blue and the purple, of the scarlet yarn and of the fine linen. And every skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen.
26 And all the women whose heart was lifted up with wisdom spun the goats’ hair. All the women whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats’ hair. And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair.
27 And the rulers brought the onyx stones and stones as the settings for the ephod and for the breastplate, And the leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
28 and the spice, and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the incense of spices. and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29 Every man and woman whose heart impelled him to bring in for all the work that YHWH had commanded to be done by the hand of Moses—the sons of Israel brought a freewill offering to YHWH. All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD. All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do.
30 And Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See, YHWH has called by name Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
31 And He has filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and in understanding and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—
32 and to design artistic works, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
33 and in cutting stone for setting, and in cutting wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship. in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts.
34 And to teach He has given in his heart—he and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.
35 He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do every work of an engraver and designer and weaver in the blue and the purple, in the scarlet yarn, and in the fine linen, and of a weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works. He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
