1 Moses gathered all the congregation of the sons of Israel together, and said to them, “These are the things which the LORD has commanded you to do: Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, “These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do. Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do:
2 “For six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any kind of work on that day shall be put to death. Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death.
3 You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.” You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.” Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
4 And Moses said to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, “This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the LORD has commanded. Moses said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the LORD has commanded:
5 ‘Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever has a willing heart, let him bring it as the LORD’S offering: gold, silver, and bronze, Take from among you a contribution to the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; From what you have, take an offering for the LORD. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the LORD an offering of gold, silver and bronze;
6 blue, purple, and scarlet fabric, fine linen, goats’ hair, blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats’ hair, blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;
7 and rams’ skins dyed red, and skins of porpoises, and acacia wood, tanned rams’ skins, and goatskins; acacia wood, ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;
8 and [olive] oil for the lighting, and balsam for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense, oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
9 and onyx stones and other stones to be set for the ephod and the breastpiece. and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
10 ‘Let every skilled and talented man among you come, and make everything that the LORD has commanded: “Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the LORD has commanded: “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the LORD has commanded:
11 the tabernacle (sacred dwelling of God), its tent and its covering, its hooks, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets; the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;
12 the ark [of the covenant] and its carrying poles, with the mercy seat and the veil (partition curtain) of the screen [to hang between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies]; the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen; the ark with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain that shields it;
13 the table and its carrying poles, and all its utensils, and the bread of the [divine] Presence (showbread); the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; the table with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence;
14 the lampstand also for the light and its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; the lampstand that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light;
15 and the altar of incense and its carrying poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, the screen (curtain) for the doorway at the entrance of the tabernacle; and the altar of incense, with its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense; the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle;
16 the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its carrying poles, and all its utensils, the wash basin and its base (stand); the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the bronze basin with its stand;
17 the court’s curtains, its support poles and their sockets, and the curtain for the gate of the courtyard; the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;
18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court and their cords; the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords; the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes;
19 the finely-woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons, to minister as priests.’” the finely worked garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.” the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary—both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.”
20 Then all the congregation of the Israelites left Moses’ presence. Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence,
21 Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought the LORD’S offering to be used for the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the LORD’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.
22 Then all whose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches, earrings or nose rings, signet rings, and necklaces, all jewels of gold; everyone bringing an offering of gold to the LORD. So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the LORD. All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.
23 Every man who had in his possession blue or purple or scarlet fabric, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and rams’ skins dyed red and porpoise skins, brought them. And every one who possessed blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats’ hair or tanned rams’ skins or goatskins brought them. Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them.
24 Everyone who could make an offering of silver or bronze brought it as the LORD’S offering; every man who had in his possession acacia wood for any work of the service brought it. Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the LORD’s contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the LORD, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it.
25 All the skilled and talented women spun thread with their hands, and brought what they had spun, blue and purple and scarlet fabric and fine linen. And every skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen.
26 All the women whose heart stirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair. All the women whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats’ hair. And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair.
27 The leaders brought onyx stones and other stones to be put in settings for the ephod and for the breastpiece, And the leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
28 and spice and [olive] oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.
29 The Israelites, all the men and women whose heart moved them to bring material for all the work which the LORD had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a freewill (voluntary) offering to the LORD. All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD. All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do.
30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom and skill, with intelligence and understanding, and with knowledge in all [areas of] craftsmanship, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—
32 to devise artistic designs to work in gold, silver, and bronze, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
33 and in the cutting of stones for setting and in the carving of wood, for work in every skilled craft. in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts.
34 He has also put in Bezalel’s heart [the willingness] to teach [others the same skills], both he and Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.
35 He has filled them with skill to do the work of an engraver, of a designer, and of an embroiderer, in blue, purple, and scarlet fabric, and in fine linen, and of a weaver; makers of every work and embroiderers of [excellent] designs. He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
