| 1Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. | 1Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer. |
| 2And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; | 2And a man who had been lame from his mother's womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple. |
| 3who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. | 3When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking to receive alms. |
| 4And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” | 4But Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, "Look at us!" |

| 7And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. | 7And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. |
| 8So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. | 8With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. |

| 11Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. | 11While he was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the so-called portico of Solomon, full of amazement. |
| 12So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? | 12But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, "Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or why do you gaze at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk? |
| 13The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. | 13"The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, the one whom you delivered and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. |
| 14But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, | 14"But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, |
| 15and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. | 15but put to death the Prince of life, the one whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses. |
| 16And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. | 16"And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all. |
| 17“Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. | 17"And now, brethren, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your rulers did also. |

| 21whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. | 21whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time. |
| 22For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren.
