Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:1Then the LORD said to Moses,
“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.2“See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,3And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of craftsmanship,
to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,4to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze,
in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.5to cut gemstones for settings, and to carve wood, so that he may be a master of every craft.
“And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:6Moreover, I have selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, as his assistant. I have also given skill to all the craftsmen, that they may fashion all that I have commanded you:
the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle—7the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat upon it, and all the other furnishings of the tent—
the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense,8the table with its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense,
the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base—9the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand—
the garments of ministry, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests,10as well as the woven garments, both the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons to serve as priests,
and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they shall do.”11in addition to the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them according to all that I have commanded you.”
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,12And the LORD said to Moses,
“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.13“Tell the Israelites, ‘Surely you must keep My Sabbaths, for this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.14Keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Anyone who profanes it must surely be put to death. Whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from among his people.
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.15For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must surely be put to death.
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.16The Israelites must keep the Sabbath, celebrating it as a permanent covenant for the generations to come.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”17It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”
And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.18When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
