NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.1A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves.2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones.3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more."4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant:5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites;6The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assyria also has joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Deal with them as with Midian, As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Who were destroyed at En-dor, Who became as dung for the ground.10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,11Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Who said, "Let us possess for ourselves The pastures of God."12Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
O my God, make them like the whirling dust, Like chaff before the wind.13O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Like fire that burns the forest And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,14As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
So pursue them with Your tempest And terrify them with Your storm.15So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
Fill their faces with dishonor, That they may seek Your name, O LORD.16Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever, And let them be humiliated and perish,17Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.18That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
