New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers.1A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken.5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.6I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
"Nevertheless you will die like men And fall like any one of the princes."7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations.8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
