| 4[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 4Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. |

| 12[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. |
| 13[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 13Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand. |
| 14[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed, |
| 15[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. |
| 16[an error occurred while processing this directive] | 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. |
