Bildad Speaks of the Wicked 1Then Bildad the Shuhite responded,
How long will you hunt for words?
Why are we regarded as beasts,
O you who tear yourself in your anger
Indeed, the light of the wicked goes out,
The light in his tent is darkened,
His vigorous stride is shortened,
For he is thrown into the net by his own feet,
A snare seizes him by the heel,
A noose for him is hidden in the ground,
All around terrors frighten him,
His strength is famished,
His skin is devoured by disease,
He is torn from the security of his tent,
There dwells in his tent nothing of his;
His roots are dried below,
Memory of him perishes from the earth,
He is driven from light into darkness,
He has no offspring or posterity among his people,
Those in the west are appalled at his fate,
Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, NASB 1995 Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, Calif. All rights reserved. For Permission to Quote Information visit http://www.lockman.org Bible Hub |
