Job 14:1, 4
Man, who is born of woman, is short of days and full of trouble. . . .
What is man, that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?
How then can a man be just before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.
We all lived among them at one time in the cravings of our flesh, indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
1 Samuel 2:30

John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you were willing for a season to bask in his light.
So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
The light of the moon will be as bright as the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter--like the light of seven days--on the day that the LORD binds up the brokenness of His people and heals the wounds He inflicted.
On that day the LORD will defend the residents of Jerusalem, so that the weakest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD going before them.
And He said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me, and whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. For whoever is the least among all of you, he is the greatest."
