Psalms 57:2-11 ▼

2 I will call out to El-Elyon, to God, who fulfills for me.

3 He sends forth from the heavens, and saves me; He rebukes the one panting after me. Selah God sends forth His loving devotion and His faithfulness.

4 My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down among flames—the sons of men, their teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue is a sharp sword.

5 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, Your glory above all the earth!

6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bent down; they have dug before me a pit—may they fall into its midst! Selah

7 my heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.

8 Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre—I will awaken the dawn!

9 I will confess You among the peoples, O Lord; I will make music to You among the nations.

10 For Your loving devotion reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness to the clouds.

11 Be lifted high above the heavens, O God, and above all the earth Your glory!
