1 And Jesus, going out, was departing from the temple; and His disciples came near to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 But, He, answering, said to them, "See ye not all these things? verily I say to you, there shall in no wise be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down." 3 And, while He was sitting on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us when shall these things be, and what is the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the age." 4 And Jesus, answering, said to them, "Take heed that no one lead you astray; 5 for many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray. 6 And ye will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled, for these things must come to pass; but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 But all these are a beginning of travail. 9 Then will they deliver you up to tribulation, and will slay you; and ye will be hated by all the nations for My name's sake. 10 And then will many be caused to stumble, and will deliver up one another, and hate one another; 11 and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray; 12 and, because lawlessness abounds, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end come. 15 "When, therefore, ye see the abomination of the desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let him that reads understand), 16 then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; 17 let him who is on the house-top not go down to take away the things out of his house; 18 and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his garment. 19 But woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days! 20 And pray, that your flight be not in winter, nor on a sabbath; 21 for then will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now; no, nor ever shall be. 22 And, unless those days should be shortened, no flesh could be saved: but, for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. 23 Then, if any one shall say to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ!' or 'Here,' believe it not; 24 for there will arise false Christs and false prophets; and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 Behold, I have foretold you. 26 If, therefore, they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness;' go not forth; 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers,' believe it not, Matthew 24:1-26, Worrell New Testament.
