As for you, the one who lives in the shelter of the sovereign One, and resides in the protective shadow of the mighty king-- He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I say this about the LORD, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust-- I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the destructive plague. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day, You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon. nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it will not reach you. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes--you will see the wicked paid back. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
For you have taken refuge in the LORD, my shelter, the sovereign One. Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
No harm will overtake you; no illness will come near your home. no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will order his angels to protect you in all you do. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will subdue a lion and a snake; you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
The LORD says, |Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
I will satisfy him with long life, and will let him see my salvation. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
