For the music director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice rises to God, and I will cry aloud; My voice rises to God, and He will listen to me. I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. For the director of music. For Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A psalm. I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out and did not grow weary; My soul refused to be comforted. In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted. When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.
When I remember God, then I am restless; When I sigh, then my spirit feels weak. Selah When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint.
You have held my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.
I have considered the days of old, The years of long ago. I consider the days of old, the years long ago. I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;
I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders: I said, “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search: I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:
Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again? “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? “Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?
Has His favor ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?
Has God forgotten to be gracious, Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”
Then I said, “It is my grief, That the right hand of the Most High has changed.” Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.” Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.
I shall remember the deeds of the LORD; I will certainly remember Your wonders of old. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
I will meditate on all Your work, And on Your deeds with thanksgiving. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
Your way, God, is holy; What god is great like our God? Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples. You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.
By Your power You have redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
The waters saw You, God; The waters saw You, they were in anguish; The ocean depths also trembled. When the waters saw you, O God, when the waters saw you, they were afraid; indeed, the deep trembled. The waters saw you, God, the waters saw you and writhed; the very depths were convulsed.
The clouds poured out water; The skies sounded out; Your arrows flashed here and there. The clouds poured out water; the skies gave forth thunder; your arrows flashed on every side. The clouds poured down water, the heavens resounded with thunder; your arrows flashed back and forth.
The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightning lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook. The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; your lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook. Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind, your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.
Your way was in the sea And Your paths in the mighty waters, And Your footprints were not known. Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen. Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.
You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron. You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
