1 Of Solomon. O God, give the king Your judgments, And Your righteousness to the king’s son. Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son! Of Solomon. Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.
2 May he render judgment to Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice. May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice! May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
3 Let the mountains lift up peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness! May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he give justice to the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy, And crush the oppressor. May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor! May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.
5 Let them fear You while the sun endures, And as long as the moon, from generation to all generations. May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations! May he endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.
6 May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth! May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
7 May the righteous flourish in his days, And abundance of peace until the moon is no more. In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more! In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
8 May he also have dominion from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth. May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth! May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 Let the desert creatures kneel before him, And his enemies lick the dust. May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust! May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.
10 Let the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands bring a present; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer tribute. May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts! May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.
11 And let all kings bow down to him, All nations serve him. May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him! May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper. For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save. He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
14 He will redeem their life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight; From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight. He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.
15 So may he live! And may they give to him the gold of Sheba; And let each pray for him continually; Let each bless him all day long. Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day! Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.
16 May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; May its fruit wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city blossom like vegetation of the earth. May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field! May grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. May the crops flourish like Lebanon and thrive like the grass of the field.
17 May his name endure forever; May his name increase as long as the sun shines; Let all nations be blessed in him; Let all nations call him blessed. May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed! May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.
18 Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wondrous deeds. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen! Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
