1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus: To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons. 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you, I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, I thank my God every time I remember you.
4 always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy

6 I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.
8 For God is my witness, how deeply I miss all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
10 so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

14 Most of the brothers have gained confidence in the Lord from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the word fearlessly. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.
15 To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of good will. Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
16 These preach out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.
17 the others proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, thinking that they will cause me trouble in my imprisonment. 18 What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice What then? 19 because I know this will lead to my salvation through your prayers and help from the Spirit of Jesus Christ. for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.
20 My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death. as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
22 Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful work for me; and I don’t know which one I should choose. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!
23 I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ —which is far better — I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;
24 but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
25 Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 so that, because of my coming to you again, your boasting in Christ Jesus may abound. so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again. so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.
27 Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel, Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel
28 not being frightened in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of your salvation —and this is from God. and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.
29 For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,
30 since you are engaged in the same struggle that you saw I had and now hear that I have. engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have. since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.
