1 He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered. Again he entered the synagogue, and a man was there with a withered hand. Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.
2 They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him. And they watched Jesus, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.
3 He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.” And he said to the man with the withered hand, “Come here.” Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”
4 He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent. And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other. And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.
6 The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. The Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against him, how to destroy him. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
7 Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea, Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great crowd followed, from Galilee and Judea Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.
8 from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him. When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.
9 He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him. And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they crush him, Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him. for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed around him to touch him. For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.
11 The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!” And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”
12 He sternly warned them that they should not make him known. And he strictly ordered them not to make him known. But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.
13 He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him. And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.

19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house. and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
20 The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.
21 When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.” And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He is out of his mind.” When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.” And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”
23 He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? And he called them to him and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
27 But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house. But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house. In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.
28 “Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; “Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter,
29 but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.” but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”
30 —because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”
31 His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him. And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.
32 A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.” And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.” A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”
33 He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.
34 Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers! And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!
35 For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.” For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.” Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
