2 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law were complaining, |This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.| And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

7 I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need to repent. Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
