These are the words
of Amos,
who
was
among the sheepherders
of Tekoa—
what
he saw
concerning
Israel
two years
before
the earthquake,
in the days
when Uzziah
was king
of Judah
and Jeroboam
son
of Jehoash
was king
of Israel.
The words
of Amos,
who was among the herdmen
of Tekoa,
which he saw
concerning Israel
in the days
of Uzziah
king
of Judah,
and in the days
of Jeroboam
the son
of Joash
king
of Israel,
two years
before
the earthquake.

He said:
“The LORD
roars
from Zion
and raises
His voice
from Jerusalem;
the pastures
of the shepherds
mourn,
and the summit
of Carmel
withers.”
And he said,
The LORD
will roar
from Zion,
and utter
his voice
from Jerusalem;
and the habitations
of the shepherds
shall mourn,
and the top
of Carmel
shall wither.

the LORD
says:
“For

because
they threshed

Thus saith
the LORD;

says
the LORD.
I will break
also the bar

the sceptre
from the house
of Eden:
and the people
of Syria
shall go into captivity

the LORD.
