NLT Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew International Version
Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph’s descendants like a flock. O God, enthroned above the cherubim, display your radiant glory1For the director of music. To the tune of "The Lilies of the Covenant." Of Asaph. A psalm. Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth
to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Show us your mighty power. Come to rescue us!2before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us.
Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.3Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies, how long will you be angry with our prayers?4How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?
You have fed us with sorrow and made us drink tears by the bucketful.5You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
You have made us the scorn of neighboring nations. Our enemies treat us as a joke.6You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us.
Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.7Restore us, God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
You brought us from Egypt like a grapevine; you drove away the pagan nations and transplanted us into your land.8You transplanted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
You cleared the ground for us, and we took root and filled the land.9You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.
Our shade covered the mountains; our branches covered the mighty cedars.10The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.
We spread our branches west to the Mediterranean Sea; our shoots spread east to the Euphrates River.11Its branches reached as far as the Sea, its shoots as far as the River.
But now, why have you broken down our walls so that all who pass by may steal our fruit?12Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
The wild boar from the forest devours it, and the wild animals feed on it.13Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it.
Come back, we beg you, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Look down from heaven and see our plight. Take care of this grapevine14Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,
that you yourself have planted, this son you have raised for yourself.15the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself.
For we are chopped up and burned by our enemies. May they perish at the sight of your frown.16Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.
Strengthen the man you love, the son of your choice.17Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
Then we will never abandon you again. Revive us so we can call on your name once more.18Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
Turn us again to yourself, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.19Restore us, LORD God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
