NLT Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationInternational Standard Version
When everything was ready, the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous.1Then the LORD told Noah, "Come—you and all your household—into the ark, because I've seen that you alone are righteous in this generation.
Take with you seven pairs—male and female—of each animal I have approved for eating and for sacrifice, and take one pair of each of the others.2You are to take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of the unclean animals, a male and its mate;
Also take seven pairs of every kind of bird. There must be a male and a female in each pair to ensure that all life will survive on the earth after the flood.3along with seven pairs of the flying birds, male and female, in order to keep their offspring alive on the surface of all the earth.
Seven days from now I will make the rains pour down on the earth. And it will rain for forty days and forty nights, until I have wiped from the earth all the living things I have created.”4Seven days from now I'll send rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, and I'll destroy every living creature that I've made."
So Noah did everything as the LORD commanded him.5Noah did everything that the LORD commanded.
Noah was 600 years old when the flood covered the earth.6Noah was 600 years old when water began to flood the earth.
He went on board the boat to escape the flood—he and his wife and his sons and their wives.7Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives entered the ark with him before the flood waters arrived.
With them were all the various kinds of animals—those approved for eating and for sacrifice and those that were not—along with all the birds and the small animals that scurry along the ground.8From both clean and unclean animals, from birds, and from everything that crawls on the ground,
They entered the boat in pairs, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah.9two by two, male and female, they entered the ark to join Noah, just as God had commanded.
After seven days, the waters of the flood came and covered the earth.10Seven days later, the flooding started.
When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky.11On the seventeenth day of the second month, when Noah was 600 years old, all the springs of the great deep burst open, the floodgates of the heavens were opened,
The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.12and it rained throughout the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.
That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives.13On that very day, Noah entered the ark with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah's wife, his sons' three wives with them,
With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind.14along with every species of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and every creature that has wings.
Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes.15Two of each living creature entered the ark with Noah.
A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD closed the door behind them.16The males and females of each living creature entered the ark, just as God had commanded. Then the LORD sealed them inside.
For forty days the floodwaters grew deeper, covering the ground and lifting the boat high above the earth.17The flood continued throughout the earth for 40 days, while the flood waters increased, lifting the ark so that it rose above the surface of the earth.
As the waters rose higher and higher above the ground, the boat floated safely on the surface.18The flood waters continued to surge, increasing throughout the earth, while the ark floated on the surface of the flood water.
Finally, the water covered even the highest mountains on the earth,19The flood water surged even higher throughout the earth, until all the highest mountains under the sky were covered.
rising more than twenty-two feet above the highest peaks.20The flood waters rose 15 cubits above the mountains.
All the living things on earth died—birds, domestic animals, wild animals, small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people.21Every living thing on earth died—flying creatures, livestock, wildlife, all creatures that swarm over the earth, and all human beings.
Everything that breathed and lived on dry land died.22Everything that breathed and everything that had lived on dry land died.
God wiped out every living thing on the earth—people, livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and the birds of the sky. All were destroyed. The only people who survived were Noah and those with him in the boat.23All existing creatures that had lived on the surface of the ground were annihilated, from humans to livestock, from crawling creatures to birds of the sky. They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah remained, along with those who were with him in the ark.
And the floodwaters covered the earth for 150 days.24The flood waters surged over the earth for 150 days.
