Psalm 30
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
A Psalm. A Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me.1I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.2O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.
O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.3You brought me up from the grave, O LORD. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.4Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.”6When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”
LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.7Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
I cried out to You, O LORD; And to the LORD I made supplication:8I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
“What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?9“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?
Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper!”10Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.”
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,11You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.12that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
