Psalm 135
NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD; Praise Him, O servants of the LORD,1Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD! Praise him, you who serve the LORD,
You who stand in the house of the LORD, In the courts of the house of our God!2you who serve in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.3Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; celebrate his lovely name with music.
For the LORD has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His own possession.4For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own special treasure.
For I know that the LORD is great And that our Lord is above all gods.5I know the greatness of the LORD— that our Lord is greater than any other god.
Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.6The LORD does whatever pleases him throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths.
He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings forth the wind from His treasuries.7He causes the clouds to rise over the whole earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses.
He smote the firstborn of Egypt, Both of man and beast.8He destroyed the firstborn in each Egyptian home, both people and animals.
He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, Upon Pharaoh and all his servants.9He performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt against Pharaoh and all his people.
He smote many nations And slew mighty kings,10He struck down great nations and slaughtered mighty kings—
Sihon, king of the Amorites, And Og, king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan;11Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.
And He gave their land as a heritage, A heritage to Israel His people.12He gave their land as an inheritance, a special possession to his people Israel.
Your name, O LORD, is everlasting, Your remembrance, O LORD, throughout all generations.13Your name, O LORD, endures forever; your fame, O LORD, is known to every generation.
For the LORD will judge His people And will have compassion on His servants.14For the LORD will give justice to his people and have compassion on his servants.
The idols of the nations are but silver and gold, The work of man's hands.15The idols of the nations are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands.
They have mouths, but they do not speak; They have eyes, but they do not see;16They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see.
They have ears, but they do not hear, Nor is there any breath at all in their mouths.17They have ears but cannot hear, and mouths but cannot breathe.
Those who make them will be like them, Yes, everyone who trusts in them.18And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them.
O house of Israel, bless the LORD; O house of Aaron, bless the LORD;19O Israel, praise the LORD! O priests—descendants of Aaron—praise the LORD!
O house of Levi, bless the LORD; You who revere the LORD, bless the LORD.20O Levites, praise the LORD! All you who fear the LORD, praise the LORD!
Blessed be the LORD from Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!21The LORD be praised from Zion, for he lives here in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!
