A song. A Davidic psalm. My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being. | 1A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. |
Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. | 2Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. |
I will praise You, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. | 3I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. |
For Your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. | 4For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. |
God, be exalted above the heavens, and let Your glory be over the whole earth. | 5Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; |
Save with Your right hand and answer me so that those You love may be rescued. | 6That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. |
God has spoken in His sanctuary:" I will triumph! I will divide up Shechem. I will apportion the Valley of Succoth. | 7God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. |
Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine, and Ephraim is My helmet; Judah is My scepter. | 8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; |
Moab is My washbasin; I throw My sandal on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia." | 9Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph. |
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? |
God, haven't You rejected us? God, You do not march out with our armies. | 11Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts? |
Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. | 12Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. |
With God we will perform valiantly; He will trample our foes. | 13Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. |
