Psalm 108
ESV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew Living Translation
My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being!1My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn!2Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.
I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.3I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.4For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!5Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.
That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me!6Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power.
God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth.7God has promised this by his holiness : “I will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter.8Gilead is mine, and Manasseh, too. Ephraim, my helmet, will produce my warriors, and Judah, my scepter, will produce my kings.
Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”9But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.”
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom?
Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.11Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?
Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
