Psalm 108
ESV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNET Bible
My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being!1A song, a psalm of David. I am determined, O God! I will sing and praise you with my whole heart.
Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn!2Awake, O stringed instrument and harp! I will wake up at dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.3I will give you thanks before the nations, O LORD! I will sing praises to you before foreigners!
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.4For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!5Rise up above the sky, O God! May your splendor cover the whole earth!
That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me!6Deliver by your power and answer me, so that the ones you love may be safe.
God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth.7God has spoken in his sanctuary: "I will triumph! I will parcel out Shechem, the valley of Succoth I will measure off.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter.8Gilead belongs to me, as does Manasseh! Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my royal scepter.
Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”9Moab is my wash basin. I will make Edom serve me. I will shout in triumph over Philistia."
Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?10Who will lead me into the fortified city? Who will bring me to Edom?
Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.11Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.
Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!12Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile.
With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.13By God's power we will conquer; he will trample down our enemies.
