And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth--the gospel of your salvation--you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

After Paul's salutation,

and thanksgiving for the Ephesians,

he treats of our election,

and adoption by grace;

which is the true and proper fountain of man's salvation.

And because the height of this mystery cannot be easily attained unto,
