Would you really annul My justice? Would you condemn Me to justify yourself?
Cross ReferencesRomans 3:4
Absolutely not! Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that You may be justified in Your words, and prevail in Your judgments."
Does it please You to oppress me, to reject the work of Your hands, and favor the schemes of the wicked?
though You know that I am not guilty, and there is no deliverance from Your hand?
Behold, now that I have prepared my case, I know that I will be vindicated.
God has delivered me to unjust men; He has thrown me to the clutches of the wicked.
then understand that it is God who has wronged me and drawn His net around me.
"As surely as God lives, who has deprived me of justice, the Almighty, who has embittered my soul,
I will hold fast my righteousness and never let go. As long as I live, my conscience will not accuse me.
Could one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn the just and mighty One,
Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker--one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands'?
