Yahweh Has Heard My Voice

אָ֭הַבְתִּי (I have loved) כִּֽי־ (because) יִשְׁמַ֥ע׀ (heard) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH) אֶת־ (-)

ק֝וֹלִ֗י (the voice of)— תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ (my supplications).

2  כִּֽי־ (Because) הִטָּ֣ה (He has inclined) אָזְנ֣וֹ (His ear) לִ֑י (to me),

וּבְיָמַ֥י (even in the day) אֶקְרָֽא׃ (I called).

3  אֲפָפ֤וּנִי׀ (Surrounded me) חֶבְלֵי־ (the cords) מָ֗וֶת (of death),

וּמְצָרֵ֣י (and the straits) שְׁא֣וֹל (of Sheol) מְצָא֑וּנִי (found me);

צָרָ֖ה (distress) וְיָג֣וֹן (and sorrow) אֶמְצָֽא׃ (did I find).

4  וּבְשֵֽׁם־ (And in the name) יְהוָ֥ה (of YHWH) אֶקְרָ֑א (I called out):

אָנָּ֥ה (I pray), יְ֝הוָ֗ה (O YHWH), מַלְּטָ֥ה (deliver) נַפְשִֽׁי׃ (my soul).

5  חַנּ֣וּן (Gracious is) יְהֹוָ֣ה (YHWH), וְצַדִּ֑יק (and righteous),

וֵ֖אלֹהֵ֣ינוּ (and our God) מְרַחֵֽם׃ (is compassionate).

6  שֹׁמֵ֣ר (Preserves) פְּתָאיִ֣ם (the simple ones) יְהֹוָ֑ה (YHWH);

דַּ֝לּוֹתִ֗י (I was brought low) וְלִ֣י (and to me) יְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ (He gave salvation).

7  שׁוּבִ֣י (Return) נַ֭פְשִׁי (my soul), לִמְנוּחָ֑יְכִי (to your rest),

כִּֽי־ (for) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (YHWH) גָּמַ֥ל (has dealt kindly) עָלָֽיְכִי׃ (with you).

8  כִּ֤י (For) חִלַּ֥צְתָּ (you were rescued) נַפְשִׁ֗י (my soul) מִ֫מָּ֥וֶת (from death), אֶת־ (-)

עֵינִ֥י (my eye) מִן־ (from) דִּמְעָ֑ה (tears), אֶת־ (-) רַגְלִ֥י (my feet) מִדֶּֽחִי׃ (from stumbling).

9  אֶ֭תְהַלֵּךְ (I will walk) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH)

בְּ֝אַרְצ֗וֹת (in the land) הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ (of the living).

10  הֶ֭אֱמַנְתִּי (I believed), כִּ֣י (therefore) אֲדַבֵּ֑ר (I said),

אֲ֝נִ֗י (I) עָנִ֥יתִי (am afflicted) מְאֹֽד׃ (greatly).

11  אֲ֭נִי (I) אָמַ֣רְתִּי (said) בְחָפְזִ֑י (in my hastening),

כָּֽל־ (Every) הָאָדָ֥ם (man) כֹּזֵֽב׃ (is a liar).

12  מָֽה־ (What) אָשִׁ֥יב (shall I return) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH)

כָּֽל־ (all) תַּגְמוּל֥וֹהִי (His benefits) עָלָֽי׃ (are upon me).

13  כּוֹס־ (The cup) יְשׁוּע֥וֹת (of salvation) אֶשָּׂ֑א (I will take up),

וּבְשֵׁ֖ם (and upon the name) יְהוָ֣ה (of YHWH) אֶקְרָֽא׃ (I will call).

14  נְ֭דָרַי (My vows) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) אֲשַׁלֵּ֑ם (I will fulfill)

נֶגְדָה־ (in front) נָּ֝֗א (now) לְכָל־ (of all) עַמּֽוֹ׃ (His people).

15  יָ֭קָר (Precious) בְּעֵינֵ֣י (in the eyes) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH)

הַ֝מָּ֗וְתָה (is the death) לַחֲסִידָֽיו׃ (of His holy ones).

16  אָֽנָּ֣ה (I ask), יְהוָה֮ (O YHWH), כִּֽי־ (surely) אֲנִ֪י (I am) עַ֫בְדֶּ֥ךָ (Your servant);

אֲ‍ֽנִי־ (I am) עַ֭בְדְּךָ (Your servant), בֶּן־ (son) אֲמָתֶ֑ךָ (of Your maidservant);

פִּ֝תַּ֗חְתָּ (You have loosed) לְמוֹסֵרָֽי׃ (my bonds).

17  לְֽךָ־ (To You) אֶ֭זְבַּח (I will sacrifice) זֶ֣בַח (a sacrifice) תּוֹדָ֑ה (of thanksgiving),

וּבְשֵׁ֖ם (and in your name) יְהוָ֣ה (O YHWH) אֶקְרָֽא׃ (I will call).

18  נְ֭דָרַי (My vows) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH) אֲשַׁלֵּ֑ם (I will fulfill)

נֶגְדָה־ (in front) נָּ֝֗א (now) לְכָל־ (of all) עַמּֽוֹ׃ (His people),

19  בְּחַצְר֤וֹת׀ (in the courts) בֵּ֤ית (of the house) יְהוָ֗ה (of YHWH),

בְּֽת֘וֹכֵ֤כִי (in your midst), יְֽרוּשָׁלִָ֗ם (O Jerusalem).

הַֽלְלוּ־ (Hallelu) יָֽהּ׃ (YAH)!
