Exodus 28:21
New International Version
There are to be twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.

(21) The stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel.--Rather, the stones shall be according to the names, &c.--twelve, neither more nor fewer.

Every one with his name . . . --Rather, each stone, according to its name (i.e., the name engraved upon it), shall be (or, stand) for one of the twelve tribes.

Verse 21. - The stones shall be with the names. Rather, "according to the names;" the number of the stones shall agree with that of the names, viz., twelve. Everyone with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
