Value of Life

The Bible consistently affirms the sanctity and value of human life, rooted in the belief that life is a divine gift from God. Genesis 1:27 states, "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." This foundational verse underscores the inherent dignity and worth of every human being, as each person reflects the image of the Creator.

The value of life is further emphasized in the commandment, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13), which underscores the protection of human life as a fundamental moral principle. The Bible also speaks to the care and protection of the vulnerable, as seen in Psalm 82:3-4 : "Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; uphold the rights of the afflicted and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; save them from the hand of the wicked."

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ's teachings and actions further highlight the value of life. In John 10:10 , Jesus declares, "I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness." Integrity

Integrity, as presented in the Bible, is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It is a reflection of one's character and is highly esteemed in Scripture. Proverbs 11:3 states, "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the perversity of the faithless destroys them." This verse highlights the guiding role of integrity in leading a righteous life.

The life of Job serves as a profound example of integrity. Despite severe trials and suffering, Job maintained his integrity, as noted in Job 2:3 : "Then the LORD said to Satan, 'Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil. And he still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.'"

In the New Testament, integrity is exemplified in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 5:37 , Jesus instructs, "But let your 'Yes' mean 'Yes,' and your 'No' mean 'No.' For anything more comes from the evil one." This teaching emphasizes the importance of honesty and straightforwardness in communication, reflecting a life of integrity.

The Apostle Paul also speaks to the importance of integrity in the Christian life. In 2 Corinthians 8:21 , he writes, "For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." This verse underscores the dual responsibility of maintaining integrity before God and others.
